On February 1, Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received Tinatin Khidasheli, Minister of Defense of Georgia who is in Armenia on an official visit.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that active contacts and high-level mutual visits between the two friendly countries contribute to the development of the Armenian-Georgian relations and expansion of cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Tinatin Khidasheli presented the goals of her visit and the results of the meeting held at the Ministry of Defense.

During the meeting a number of issues of bilateral agenda and the possibilities of developing cooperation in the field of defence were discussed.

The Ministers exchanged views on regional topics.

Edward Nalbandian presented to the Minister of Defense of Georgia the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
