On February 13, in Munich Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, met with Mauro Vieira, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.

The sides attached importance to the intensification of high-level political dialogue, holding of regular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, promotion of business contacts.

During the meeting the deepening of cooperation in the areas of trade, economy and culture were discussed. The Ministers expressed confidence that the liberalization of visa regime established between the two countries will contribute to the rapprochement of the societies and promotion of tourism. Within this context the sides attached importance to the role of the Brazilian-Armenian community.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and Brazil discussed issues concerning the deepening of inter-parliamentary ties, cooperation within international organizations.

Edward Nalbandian expressed gratitude for the adoption of resolution on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Senate of Brazil.

Edward Nalbandian invited his Brazilian counterpart to visit Armenia.
