The next round of Armenia-EU negotiations held in Brussels

On February 17, the second round of negotiations on a new legal framework of Armenia-EU relations was held in Brussels. The Armenian delegation was headed by Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia.

The first part of negotiations focused on the issues of cooperation in the areas of political dialogue, reforms, justice and freedoms,

The results of the above-mentioned meeting, as well as the one before, which focused on trade and investment issues of the Agreement, were summarized during the plenary session held at the end of the day. During the session the sides emphasized the achieved progress and outlined the framework and timeframe of future discussions.

The sides attached importance to the necessity to coordinate and harmonize the works between the negotiating groups towards the draft of the Agreement in different directions.
