Foreign Minister of Armenia received Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan

On April 18, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Galymzhan Koishybayev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan who arrived in Yerevan to participate in the consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two states.

Foreign Minister of Armenia presented to the guest the situation unfolded in the result of military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan, and the harm caused to the negotiation process. In this context Edward Nalbandian attached importance to the facilitation of efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the only format that enjoys the mandate of the international community, which is also enshrined in the documents adopted in CSTO Summits and the Foreign Ministerial Councils. The Minister added that any wording on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, contradicting formulations adopted by the Co-Chairs of Minsk Group, harm the peace process.

Reflecting on the shifting of a meeting of the Heads of Governments of Eurasian Economic Union member-states scheduled in Yerevan, Edward Nalbandian attached significance to the implementation of the agreement reached, and expressed hope that the meeting of Prime-Ministers (Heads of Governments) of the EAEU scheduled on May 20, in Yerevan would rectify the omission.

At the end of the meeting a range of issues on bilateral agenda, cooperation within international organizations was touched upon.
