Consultations with members of ARF Hay Dat Committees and Offices in the MFA

On May 7 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian met Members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Hay Dat Board, Regional Committees and Offices, headed by the Director of ARF Hay Dat Board Hagop Der Khachaturian, who arrived in Armenia to participate in Hay Dat Conference. Deputy Foreign Ministers, Secretary General, members of the ARF Bureau and ARF Armenia Supreme Council were present at the meeting.

Minister Nalbandian thoroughly presented to the ARF Committees’ members the large-scale military actions, unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh, efforts for overcoming of the consequences, answered numerous question raised by the Hay Dat representatives.

Reflecting on the prospects of negotiations, Foreign Minister of Armenia mentioned, “Right now any possible meetings could be aimed only at the elimination of repetition of Azerbaijan’s aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh of early April, creation of respective mechanism for unconditional implementation of the trilateral ceasefire and ceasefire consolidation agreements of 1994-1995, which have no time limitations, in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, including the mechanism for investigation of ceasefire violations. Those steps would create appropriate conditions for the continuation of the negotiation process.”

International recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, contribution to the economic development of Homeland, other issues on the pan-Armenian agenda were discussed.

Efforts exerted for strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora ties were touched upon.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged thoughts over the foreign policy of Armenia conducted on bilateral and multilateral formats. Situation in the Middle East, Syrian crisis, international fight against terrorism, pressing international and other regional issues were reflected on.

Arrangement was reached to hold meetings in this format on a regular basis.
