The newly appointed Ambassador of Australia presented the copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Harutyunyan

On May 23, Peter Tesch, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Australia to Armenia (residence in Moscow) handed over the copies of his credentials to Robert Harutyunyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia.

Welcoming the guest, Deputy FM wished him success in his important mission and expressed hope that during his tenure relations between Armenia and Australia will gain a new impetus and quality in various fields.

Ambassador Tesch, in his turn, mentioned that Australia has always been interested in developing cooperation with Armenia in political, economic and cultural areas. He highly appreciated the active role of the Armenian community in Australia and its role in the strengthening of bilateral relations.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral agenda, attached importance, in particular, to effective cooperation within international organizations.

Expressing confidence on the existence of necessary potential for the Armenian-Australian mutually beneficial cooperation, the Ambassador expressed readiness of his country to expand the bilateral economic and business contacts.

During the meeting the sides touched upon regional and international issues.
