On May 25, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received René Rouquet and M. François Rochebloine, respectively the President and Vice-President of France-Armenia Friendship Group of the National Assembly of France.

The sides highly appreciated the solid partnership established between the Parliaments of the two countries, the close cooperation within international parliamentarian formats.

Edward Nalbandian attached importance to the visit of the French Parliamentarians to Artsakh to get acquainted in person with the consequences of Azerbaijan’s aggression and the efforts of the NKR authorities to address them.

Minister Nalbandian presented the steps being undertaken towards the implementation of agreements reached during the meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Vienna.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia outlined the role of France as a OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair country and emphasized the important input that France, together with the other Co-Chair countries, had in making the Vienna agreements possible.

The French parliamentarians reassured that they will continue their contribution to the exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
