The fourth round of negotiations between Armenia and the European Union held in Brussels

The fourth round of negotiations on a new framework agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union were held on June 21-22 in Brussels.

The Armenian delegation was headed by Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister. The Permanent Representative of Armenia to the EU and the Head of the European Union delegation to Armenia, as well as other officials from the EU structures and Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated.

The provisions and articles of the new draft agreement regarding the political dialogue and reform, justice and freedom were discussed.

At the conclusion of the talks a plenary session was held, during which both sides summed up the results of the negotiations on political, sectoral cooperation, trade and investment chapters and identified the scope of the next round of discussions.

The next round of negotiations will be held this autumn in Yerevan.
