Foreign Minister of Armenia had a meeting with the President of Georgia

On August 1, while on an official visit to Tbilisi, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with Giorgi Margvelashvili, the President of Georgia.

The President of Georgia welcomed the Minister and outlined with satisfaction that it has always been a great pleasure to receive high level officials from friendly Armenia and to discuss the opportunities for further development of friendly relations between the two neighboring countries.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Edward Nalbandian conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Armenia to President Margvelashvili, as well as briefed on the outcomes of his meetings and discussions held in Tbilisi.

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed issues related to the expansion of Armenian-Georgian cooperation, exchanged views on the possibilities of regional cooperation.

Edward Nalbandian presented to Giorgi Margvelashvili the efforts exerted by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at the implementation of agreements reached at the Summits in Vienna and Saint Petersburg, which will create an opportunity for the advancement of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

President Margvelashvili asked the Minister to convey his best wishes and assurances of highest consideration to Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia.
