On September 16, political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Armenia and the Swiss Confederation were held in Fribourg.

The Armenian and Swiss delegations were headed by Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, and Yves Rossier, State Secretary of Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, respectively.

The parties discussed issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as those related to the cooperation in the areas of trade and economy, consular affairs, legal field and within international organizations.

An importance was attached to the continuation of projects being successfully implemented in Armenia in different fields by the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The parties exchanged views on the ongoing developments in the region. The process of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was touched upon.
