In the morning of September 22, the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member countries took place in New York under the chairmanship of Edward Nalbandian, Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Chairman of the Organization’s Council of Foreign Ministers.

During the meeting the discussions focused on the issues related to the agenda of the 71st regular session of the UN General Assembly, the priorities of the CSTO member states and the future joint steps.

The Ministers touched upon on a wide range of issues on the CSTO’s activity, including the steps to be undertaken towards the foreign policy coordination, the increase of efficiency of the cooperation within international organizations.

The sides also discussed the preparatory works of session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and meetings of other CSTO statutory bodies to be held in Yerevan this October.

The Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member countries exchanged views on pressing international issues and the steps being exerted towards their settlements.
