Foreign Minister met with the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Sweden

On October 6, Edward Nalbandian, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, had a meeting with Esabelle Dingizian, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Sweden.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian outlined that he is glad to meet Esabelle Dingizian again in Yerevan a year after her visit to Armenia in April of 2015, a visit she paid to participate in the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

Esabelle Dingizian presented to Edward Nalbandian the purpose of her visit and the outcomes of her meetings. The sides shared the views that the active parliamentary cooperation has its important input in the development of interstate relations.

In the course of talks, a reference was made to the steps to be undertaken towards the further deepening of the Armenian-Swedish relations, i.e. organization of high-level visits, promotion of trade and economy cooperation, intensification of cultural exchange.

Edward Nalbandian presented the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh this April, the gross violation of international humanitarian law by Azerbaijan during that aggression, as well as efforts being exerted by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to overcome the consequences of Baku’s adventurism and advance the process of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
