07 October, 2016

On October 7, Garen Nazarian, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, received the World Bank delegation, headed by Migara de Silva.

Deputy Foreign Minister highly appreciated the cooperation within the framework of 2nd phase of the State sector innovation, financed by the World Bank, which resulted in the relaunch of innovated E-VISA electronic system and the elaboration of automatic consular registration system.

During the meeting Migara de Silva noted that the cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has been quite efficient and attached importance to the measures planned within the third phase of the project aimed at expanding and developing the MFA’s operating “e-consul” system.

In his turn Garen Nazarian outlined that the abovementioned measures will also be implemented within the fixed timeframe resulting in optimizing procedures of consular services, shortening the periods of providing those services and, thus, increasing their quality and accessibility. The Deputy Foreign Minister added that the primary purpose of those measures is to ensure efficient protection of legitimate interests and rights of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia abroad.
