On October 21, Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, received Philippe Boillat, the Head of the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe.

During the meeting, the sides discussed Armenia’s active involvement in the Council of Europe and the reforms being implemented in Armenia by the assistance of the Organization.

The high-ranking official of the CoE underlined that close and efficient cooperation with the governmental and judicial bodies of Armenia is excellent.

Within this context, Minister Nalbandian emphasized that Armenia is interested in implementing democratic reforms, and in this regard the important assistance of the Council of Europe is highly appreciated.

At the course of meeting, the process of implementation of “CoE Action Plan for Armenia: 2015-2018” was touched upon.
