Edward Nalbandian met with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs

25 October, 2016

On October 25, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov, James Warlick, Pierre Andrieu and Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.

A number of issues related to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were discussed. In this regard, Edward Nalbandian emphasised that for months Azerbaijan has been refusing to implement the agreements reached on the level of Presidents at the Vienna and St. Petersburg summits, thus hindering the creation of conducive conditions for the advancement of the negotiation process.

Minister Nalbandian stressed that contrary to the numerous calls of the Co-Chair countries to refrain from the maximalist and provocative rhetoric and actions Baku continues to exercise the same attitude. The statements of Azerbaijani authorities distorting the essence and spirit of the negotiation process are the recent cases in point, and are harmful to the negotiation process, indeed.
