Edward Nalbandian met with the Foreign Minister of France

On October 27, the meeting between Edward Nalbandian, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Armenia, and Jean-Marc Ayrault, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, took place.

The sides comprehensively discussed a number of issues on the agenda of French-Armenian privileged relations, the steps being undertaken towards the expansion of cooperation in different areas. The dynamic development of relations has been mutually commended.

Foreign Minister of Armenia and France focused on the intensive inter-parliamentary ties and dynamic decentralised cooperation.

The Ministers discussed the process of implementation the agreements reached by the Heads of the two countries on the enlargement of trade and economic relations.

Ahead of the Summit of la Francophonie in November, the Foreign Minister of Armenia and his French counterpart touched upon the cooperation issues within the framework of the International Organisation of La Francophonie.

During the talks, the sides discussed in details the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

Edward Nalbandian outlined that for months Azerbaijan has been refusing to implement the agreements reached on the level of Presidents at the Vienna and St. Petersburg summits, consistently escalates the situation along the line of contact, thus hindering the creation of conducive conditions for the advancement of the negotiation process.

The full implementation of Vienna and Saint Petersburg agreements was mutually emphasized.

At the end of the meeting Edward Nalbandian and Jean-Marc Ayrault signed the Protocol on the Implementation of the Armenia-EU Readmission Agreement of 2013 and the Agreement Regulating the Mobility of Students and Professionals between Armenia and France.
