Foreign Minister of Armenia received NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General

On November 18, Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, received Jamie Shea, the NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General, who has arrived in Armenia to participate in the events organized within the “NATO week.”

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian commended the cooperation between Armenia and NATO, attached importance to the successful implementation of the Armenia-NATO 2014-2016 Individual Partnership Action Plan, as well as to the elaboration of new individual plan for 2017-2018.

The NATO high ranking official thanked for the reception and mentioned that the Alliance attaches importance to its relations with Armenia and is interested in the continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenia-NATO political dialogue, the Armenia-NATO cooperation within the framework of different programmes, exchanged views on regional problems, the efficient involvement of Armenia in the international peacekeeping operations.

Foreign Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts exerted by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair States to create conducive conditions for the advancement of the process of exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
