On February 7, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the delegation of the Riksdag of Sweden, headed by Kenneth G Forslund, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Relations. Artak Zakaryan, Head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Assembly of Armenia, attended the meeting.

The sides emphasized that the parliamentarians of both countries play a great role in enhancing and expanding of the relations between Armenia and Sweden.

During the meeting, the ongoing negotiations over the new framework agreement between Armenia and the European Union were discussed.

Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts being exerted by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries towards advancement of the process of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Upon the request, Edward Nalbandian briefed the guests on the foreign policy priorities of Armenia.

The interlocutors touched upon the pressing regional and international issues.
