On February 17, Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, who is in Munich to take part in the Security Conference, had a meeting with Staffan de Mistura, the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary General for Syria.

The interlocutors touched upon the efforts aimed at the resolution of the Syrian crisis. The Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General presented in details the recent developments of the negotiation process and its perspectives.

Staffan de Mistura expressed his satisfaction that Armenia, within its capabilities, continues to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Syria and accepts a great number of refugees affected by the crisis.
