Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Harutyunyan participated in the online conference with the leaders of business and management sector of China

On February 24, Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Harutyunyan participated in the online conference with the heads of state structures, large enterprises, business associations of China as well as Chinese diplomats in various countries. The conference was dedicated to the issues of trade and investment environment in Armenia.

Deputy Foreign Minister presented to the the participants of the conference the structure of the economy of Armenia, the current economic situation and the development trends. He also informed about the investment climate and the conditions for conducting economic activity in Armenia.

Robert Harutyunyan talked about the Armenian-Chinese inter-governmental commission, in the framework of which the issues of improving legal framework between the two countries, including in relation to conducting business, as well as investment and other cooperation projects are discussed.

Robert Harutyunyan underlined that the citizens of China can get entry visa upon arrival to the Republic of Armenia, which is to be an important impetus for the development of tourism.

During the conference, the perspectives of possible cooperation in the areas of agriculture, food industry, chemical and electronic equipments were discussed. A special attention was paid to trade opportunities of Armenia created due to membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.

During the conference an agreement was reached with the Chinese partners to continue the discussions in the same format.
