Two-month long Francophonie season 2017 launched in Armenia

On the occasion of celebrations of the International Francophonie Day on March 20, a two-month long regular Francophonie season was launched in Armenia.

In the framework of this year’s season more than 600 francophone cultural, educational and university events will be held in March and April both in Yerevan and all marzes (regions) of Armenia.

National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, MInistry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Science, Yerevan City Hall, local self-government bodies of Armenia, Union of communities of Armenia and the civil society actively participated in the organisation of this extensive francophone event, coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is worth mentioning, that diplomatic missions of francophone countries accredited to Armenia, particularly of France, Switzerland, Canada and Lithuania organised on this occasion a number of events thus contributing to the implementation of the rich programme of the season.
