Ambassador of Israel delivered copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan

On March 22, Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan received Eliyahu Yerushalmi, the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Armenia (residence in Jerusalem) on the occasion of delivering the copies of his credentials.

Welcoming the guest, Deputy Minister Papikyan noted that Armenia is interested in development of Armenian-Israeli mutually beneficial relations and expressed hope that Ambassador Yerushalmi will have his important contribution to further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

The interlocutors attached importance to the intensification of political dialogue between the two countries, expansion of the legal framework, deepening of trade and economic relations. The sides commended the active cooperation of the parliamentarians of the two countries.

During the meeting, among other issues, the situation in the South Caucasus and the Middle East was touched upon, and the ensuring of peace and stability in those regions was highlighted. Thoughts were exchanged on the existing problems and the perspectives of their settlement.
