Newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand presented the copies of credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia

On March 27, Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, received Ian Alexander Hill, the newly-appointed Ambassador of New Zealand (residence in Moscow), on the occasion of handing over of copies of his credentials.

Welcoming the newly-appointed Ambassador Hill in Yerevan, Minister Nalbandian noted that Armenia attaches importance to the enhancement of cooperation with New Zealand in different areas, and wished the Ambassador success in his important mission.

Ambassador Hill thanked for the kind wishes and, in his turn, emphasized that his Government is greatly interested in development of a mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia and he will exert additional efforts to this end.

The interlocutors discussed steps, aimed at development of interaction in bilateral and multilateral formats. In this context an importance was attached to holding of regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries, establishment of interparliamentary cooperation, further development of the legal framework, fostering of trade and economic collaboration, in particular in the field of agriculture.

Edward Nalbandian noted that the small, but vibrant Armenian community of New Zealand could bring its important contribution to the development of bilateral relations.

Upon the request from the guest, MInister Nalbandian presented the main directions of Armenia’s foreign policy, Armenia’s approaches towards urgent regional and international issues and the ways to resolve them.
