Newly appointed ambassador of Ecuador presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign MInister of Armenia

On April 27, Armen Papikyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, received the newly-appointed Ambassador of Ecuador Julio César Prado Espinosa (residence in Moscow) who handed over the copies of his credentials.

Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassador and expressed hope, that with the appointment of a new Ambassador a new page in the relations of our countries will be opened. Deputy Minister Papikyan found it symbolic, that the second Ambassador of Ecuador to Armenia is being accredited in the year of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Ecuador.

Deputy Foreign Minister and the Ambassador of Ecuador shared the view, that despite of the geographic distance, Armenia and Ecuador have all the prerequisites for developing an effective cooperation in different areas.

In the course of the meeting, the sides touched upon the perspectives of cooperation in the framework of international organisations, as well as in trade, economic, cultural and educational spheres. They highlighted the importance of expanding the legal framework.
