Foreign Minister of Armenia received Special Representative of NATO Secretary General for the Caucasus and Central Asia

On June 12, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received James Appathurai, NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Welcoming the guest, Foreign Minister positively assessed the results achieved in the frame of Armenia-NATO collaboration.

At the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon a number of issues related to the agenda of Armenia-NATO cooperation, such as the collaboration implemented within the Partnership for Peace (PfP), Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) and the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP).

Edward Nalbandian briefed James Appathurai on the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at creation of appropriate conditions for the advancement of the peaceful settlement process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative reaffirmed the support of the Alliance to the efforts exerted by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on a number of urgent international and regional issues.
