On June 13, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the member of the German Bundestag, Spokesman of Foreign Affairs of the Social Democratic Party group Niels Annen.

At the meeting, the sides highly appreciated the existing warm and friendly relations between Armenia and Germany, and, in this context, the role of parliamentary diplomacy was highlighted.

The interlocutors touched upon the joint steps towards strengthening the Armenian-German cooperation in different areas.

Edward Nalbandian and Niels Annen exchanged views on Armenia - European Union relations and the perspectives of their development, expressing confidence, that the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, which is planned to be signed in November, will give a new impetus to the cooperation between Armenia and the EU, as well as between Armenia and the EU member states.

Foreign Minister of Armenia presented to his interlocutor the joint efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries towards creating appropriate conditions for the advancement of peace process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

During the meeting several urgent international issues were touched upon.
