Foreign Minister of Armenia received Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece

On June 26, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece Terens - Nikolaos Quick.

Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian noted, that the centuries-old brotherly relations between Armenia and Greece are based on a historically established strong friendship between our two peoples.

The Armenian Foreign Minister underlined, that it is gratifying to receive, shortly after the visit of his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias to Yerevan, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece to discuss, in line with the previously reached agreement, the issues of cooperation between the Greek and Armenian communities abroad.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the steps undertaken towards the development of trade and economic relations. Deputy Foreign Minister Quick informed, that in pursuance of the implementation of the agreement reached between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, work is underway to organise an Armenian-Greek business forum.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the settlement process of the Cyprus problem, the developments in the Middle East and the migration crisis that followed.
