On August 29, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Ivan Volynkin, Ambassador of Russia to Armenia, and Alexander Kopnin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Gyumri.

Congratulating Alexander Kopnin on his appointment as Consul General, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that he would contribute to the development of the Armenian-Russian allied relations and wished him success in his mission.

Thanking for good wishes, Alexander Kopnin assured that he would spare no effort to conduct his mission effectively.

During the talks, a number of issues on the agenda of the Armenian-Russian relations were discussed.
