Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

On August 30, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian met with Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak who arrived in Yerevan on an official visit.


The meeting started with a tête-à-tête conversation and continued in an expanded format with the participation of delegations.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed hope that this visit will give a new impetus to the strengthening of inter-state ties between the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation to visit Yerevan, Igor Crnadak emphasized that the purpose of his visit is to promote cooperation with Armenia in different spheres.

During the meeting, the Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the expansion, development and strengthening of cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral platforms.

Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina agreed to intensify the political dialogue, noting that regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries could be a good start for the deepening of political dialogue.

During the meeting the Foreign Ministers touched upon the ways of promoting bilateral trade and economic ties.

The Ministers agreed to undertake steps towards expanding the legal framework.

The interlocutors also touched upon the mutual collaboration in the inter-parliamentary format, discussed the possibilities of decentralized cooperation.

Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the joint efforts of Armenia and Co-Chair countries towards the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The sides emphasized the importance of supporting the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs' efforts.

Edward Nalbandian and Igor Crnadak signed the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic Passports”.

The Ministers' meeting was followed by a joint press conference.
