On September 20, while participating in the activities of the UN General Assembly Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, met with Ekaterina Zakharieva, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.

The interlocutors attached importance to the intensification of interstate relations based on historically friendly ties between the two peoples and underlined that the upcoming visit of the President of Bulgaria to Armenia would give a new impetus to the bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting the Armenia-EU relations, as well as the preparatory works for the forthcoming Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in Brussels in November were discussed.
