On September 21, within the margins of the UN General Assembly Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, and Faustina K. Rehuher-Marugg, Foreign Minister of Palau, in the presence of the President of Palau Tommy Remengesau signed protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During the talks that followed the signing ceremony issues related to the cooperation within international organizations were discussed.
