On November 6, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who arrived in Israel on an official visit, met with Tali Ploskov, Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Chair of the Armenia-Israel Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Welcoming Minister Nalbandian, the Deputy Speaker of Knesset warmly recalled the meaningful meetings held with Foreign Minister of Armenia during her visits to Armenia.

Minister Nalbandian underlined the importance of enhancing further the inter-parliamentary relations, and in this context, appreciated the cooperation of the friendship groups in the parliaments of the two countries, as well as the activity of the Armenia-Israel public forum. The interlocutors touched upon the steps taken towards development of bilateral relations, decentralized cooperation, issues related to intensification of cultural contacts and promotion of tourism. They touched upon the Armenian-Jewish historical ties, activities of the Armenian community of Israel and the Jewish community of Armenia.

Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Deputy Speaker of Israeli Knesset exchanged views on a number of urgent regional issues.
