On November 13, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received senator Christophe-André Frassa, who represents French expatriates in the Senate of France, and is member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the International Organisation of la Francophonie.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian highly appreciated the contribution of the parliamentarians in the development of the Armenian-French privileged relations.

The interlocutors touched upon the strong collaboration established between the legislative bodies of the two countries, including within the Parliamentary Assemblies of international organisations.

At the meeting the sides exchanged thoughts on further development of the Armenian-French multisectoral cooperation, activities of the parliamentary friendship groups, as well as regional and international issues.

Edward Nalbandian and Christophe-André Frassa discussed the preparations for the summit of la Francophonie to be held in Yerevan in 2018.

The head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry briefed the French senator on the process of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and presented the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards that end.
