Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain

On November 24, Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, who is in Brussels as part of the delegation headed by the President of the Republic of Armenia, had a meeting with Alfonso Dastis, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain.

At the meeting, Foreign Ministers touched upon the issues of the agenda of Armenian-Spanish relations, highlighted the necessity of further deepening the collaboration in both bilateral and multilateral formats, emphasizing that joint efforts can give a new impetus to it. In this regard, Edward Nalbandian and Alfonso Dastis highlighted the importance of holding regular political consultations and expanding the legal framework.

The interlocutors touched upon a number of urgent regional and international issues.

Edward Nalbandian presented the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries for an exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Minister Alfonso Dastis briefed on the latest developments regarding the situation around Catalonia and steps aimed at finding solution.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on Armenia-EU relations, the Eastern Partnership summit, as well as the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.
