Edward Nalbandian met with Nikos Kotzias

On December 12, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who arrived in Athens on an official visit, had a private talk with Nikos Kotzias, Foreign Minister of Greece.

After the meeting, at the conference hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Edward Nalbandian, accompanied by Minister Kotzias, delivered an extensive speech on the Armenia’s foreign policy, urgent international and regional issues and Armenia’s approaches to the ways of their resolution.

The lecture of Edward Nalbandian was attended by the senior staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, ambassadors accredited in Athens, prominent scholars, political scientists, analysts and journalists.

In his speech, Minister Edward Nalbandian touched upon centuries-old relations between the Armenian and Greek people, the achievements reached over the past 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Greece.

In the light of the Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement with the EU, the Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed on the expanding relations between Armenia and the European Union.

Edward Nalbandian touched upon the leading role of Armenia in international efforts to prevent crimes against humanity.

In the speech of the Foreign Minister of Armenia an important place was given to the joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries towards the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the latest developments in the settlement process.

After the speech, Foreign Minister of Armenia answered the questions of the attendees.
