Tripartite meeting at Foreign Ministry

On December 14, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Garen Nazarian received delegations headed by Terence Spencer Nicholas Quick, Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece and Fotiu Fotis, Commissioner for Humanitarian and Foreign Affairs of the President of the Republic of Cyprus.

At the meeting held in a cordial atmosphere a wide range of issues related to further development of Armenian-Greek and Armenian-Cypriot friendly relations was discussed. The high-level political dialogue between the three countries, the importance of inter-governmental and inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as the regional agenda issues were touched upon.

In the context of the development of Armenia-EU relations Garen Nazarian expressed gratitude for the unconditional support provided by Greece and Cyprus. The sides reiterated their readiness to support each other's positions on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the Cyprus conflicts and to support mediation efforts in internationally agreed formats.

At the trilateral meeting the importance of exploiting the potential of the Diaspora and the possibilities to promote cooperation in different directions between the community structures abroad were specifically highlighted.
