Newly appointed ambassador of Nigeria handed over the copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan

On January 17, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Armenia Ibrahim Hamzat (residence in Tehran) handed over the copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Armen Papikyan.

Congratulating Ibrahim Hamzat on his appointment, Armen Papikyan wished him success in his mission. Deputy Minister expressed hope that the newly appointed ambassador will direct his activities towards development of bilateral cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and congratulations, Ibrahim Hamzat assured that Nigeria is interested in expanding relations with Armenia and he will focus his best efforts towards strengthening the partnership.

At the meeting, the issues related to the development of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including the deepening of cooperation between the Foreign Ministries and within the framework of international organizations, developing the legal framework and promoting trade and economic relations, were discussed.

The interlocutors touched upon a number of regional and international issues.
