On January 20, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Berge Setrakian, President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian highly assessed the contribution of the AGBU to the development of spiritual, educational, cultural life of the Armenian people and preservation of the Armenian identity.

Berge Setrakian, while expressing gratitude for the reception and the high assessment of the AGBU activities, assured that the AGBU will continue its patriotic activities aimed at strengthening Armenia-Diaspora ties.

Current and prospective programmes of the AGBU were discussed at the meeting.

Edward Nalbandian and Berge Setrakian touched upon the issues of the pan-Armenian agenda.

Vasken Yacoubian, AGBU Central Board Member was present at the meeting.
