Newly appointed Ambassador of Mexico presented copies of her credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia

On February 1, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Norma Pensado Moreno, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of Mexico to Armenia (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting the copies of her credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on her appointment, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador would give with her work a new impetus to the development of Armenian-Mexican friendly relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and good wishes, Ambassador Moreno assured that she will do her utmost to further deepen and strengthen bilateral collaboration.

The sides discussed a number of issues of bilateral agenda, exchanged views on possibilities of further expansion of relations in a number of areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors underlined the importance of intensifying contacts in the inter-parliamentary format, expanding the cooperation on international platforms and the legal framework.

Throughout the meeting a number of urgent regional and international issues were touched upon.

Minister Nalbandian briefed his interlocutor on the latest developments with regards the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the joint efforts of Armenia and the Minsk Group Co-Chair countries aimed at exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.
