The meeting between Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Egypt

On February 17, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, who is in Munich as part of the Armenian delegation led by the President of Armenia, met with Sameh Hassan Shoukry, Foreign Minister of Egypt.

The Foreign Ministers, while stressing with satisfaction that the Armenian-Egyptian ties are based on the centuries-old historical-cultural ties and mutual sympathy of the two peoples, highlighted the importance of taking additional steps towards further development of the Armenian-Egyptian friendly relations.

The sides exchanged views on the intensification of trade and economic ties, expansion of legal framework, touched upon the work of the Armenian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Egypt highlighted the expansion of cooperation on the international platforms.

Foreign Minister of Armenia presented to his Egyptian counterpart the preparatory works for the Summit of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, to be held in Yerevan.

Edward Nalbandian and Sameh Shoukry focused on urgent international and regional issues.

Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries towards the exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
