On February 18, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is in Munich as a part of delegation headed by the President of Armenia, met with Mohammad Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister of Iran.

Edward Nalbandian and Mohammad Zarif noted with satisfaction that the Foreign Ministers of two countries have frequent meetings in Yerevan, Tehran or on the international platforms, which gives an opportunity to follow up on the implementation of agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries and outline new programmes for cooperation.

At the meeting the sides touched upon a wide range of issues of bilateral agenda, as well as related to infrastructural projects. In this context, the interlocutors highly assessed the activities of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, the regular joint session of which is scheduled to be held in Yerevan in the coming days.

The Ministers discussed the issues of cooperation within the international platforms.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Iran exchanged views on a number of urgent regional and international issues.
