On March 1-2, the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Region was held in Geneva. The delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian participated in its high level segment.

At the conference the President of the UN Economic and Social Council Marie Chatardová, the Executive Secretary of the UNECE Olga Algayerova, and a number of high-ranking officials from various countries delivered remarks.

In his remarks, Deputy Foreign Minister touched upon the importance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), steps aimed at nationalization and implementation of SDGs in Armenia and their compliance with the national priorities of Armenia as well as reforms and strategic vision of 2030.

Deputy Minister emphasized that Armenia, along with 47 other countries, will present its first voluntary national review in New York City in July 2018, during a high-level political forum to be held within the framework of the Economic and Social Council.
