Foreign Minister of Armenia met with the leadership of leading research centres of Sweden

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is in Stockholm on an official visit, met with the leadership of the leading research centres in Sweden - Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, Department of Peace and Conflict Research of the Uppsala University, the Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation, as well as with high-level diplomats.

At the meeting Edward Nalbandian presented the foreign policy priorities of Armenia and touched upon the steps taken towards developing Armenian-Swedish relations.

Foreign Minister appreciated the cooperation with Sweden both in bilateral and multilateral formats, highlighting the importance of collaboration in the framework of Armenia-EU relations and, in particular, Eastern Partnership. In this context, Minister Nalbandian touched upon the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and prospects for cooperation within that framework.

Foreign Minister briefed the attendees on the joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries aimed at exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as Armenia's approaches with regards a number of urgent regional and international issues.

Foreign Minister of Armenia answered numerous questions of the attendees regarding the developments in Caucasus and adjacent regions, as well as the processes on the international arena.
