On March 19, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, the Chairman-in-Office of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie received Christophe-André Frassa, member of the Senate of France, the Chair of the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, and Jacques Maire, deputy of the National Assembly of France.

Welcoming the guests, Edward Nalbandian highlighted the importance of regular events organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie in Armenia, underlining that this indicates the depth of Armenia's involvement in La Francophonie.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Head of the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie highly appreciated Armenia's valuable contribution to the promotion of principles and values of La Francophonie. Christophe-André Frassa informed Edward Nalbandian on the issues to be discussed at the Yerevan session of the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie.

In the course of the conversation the sides had a detailed exchange of views on the preparations for the Yerevan Summit of La Francophonie, sessions of OIF statutory bodies and the side events.

Minister Nalbandian and the French parliamentarians touched upon the Armenian-French privileged relations, active cooperation between the legislative bodies of Armenia and France.
