On March 19, Edward Nalbandian presented to the participants of the annual operational meeting of the senior leadership of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia the main directions and priorities of Armenia's foreign policy and the steps taken towards strengthening the external security component.

Foreign Minister briefed the attendees on the continuous efforts of Armenia aimed at exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Edward Nalbandian touched upon the issues of regional security, cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, initiatives of Armenia with regards to prevention of genocides and crimes against humanity, developments in the Middle East, as well as Armenia's approaches to a number of issues of regional and international significance.
