Political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Artsakh

On March 26, regular political consultations between Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh were held.

On the Armenian side the consultations were conducted by Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian, and on the side of Artsakh by Deputy Foreign Ministers Armine Alexanyan and Felix Khachatryan.

A wide range of issues related to the expansion and development of the current cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries were discussed during the consultations. A special emphasis was placed on issues related to coordination of positions with regards the issues of mutual interest within the framework of international organizations and expansion of cooperation towards that end.

The sides touched upon recent developments regarding the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

On the margins of consultations, Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian was received by Masis Mayilyan, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh. Foreign Minister highly appreciated the cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of two countries and expressed conviction that there is a need to further develop and intensify it through joint efforts.

During his visit to Artsakh Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian was also received by Bako Sahakyan, President of the Republic of Artsakh and Ashot Ghulyan, Speaker of the National Assembly.
