Meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Minister of National Defense of Greece

On March 30, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Panos Kammenos, Minister of National Defense of Greece.

Welcoming the guest, Foreign Minister Nalbandian noted that the two countries are bound by numerous millenia old historic and cultural threads and Armenia attaches importance to further deepening and expansion of relations with Greece - the centuries-old friend.

Minister of National Defense of Greece underlined that his country highly values ​​the Armenian-Greek interstate relations based on mutual trust, adding that in Greece they have the warmest feelings towards Armenia and Armenian people and would like to develop the comprehensive cooperation as much as possible.

Foreign Minister of Armenia commended the expanding Armenian-Greek cooperation in the defense sphere.

The Ministers touched upon the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and further deepening of cooperation in multilateral platforms.

The agenda of the meeting included the further enhancement of the Armenian-Greek extensive legal framework.

Minister Nalbandian briefed Panos Kammenos on joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on a number of urgent issues of international and regional agenda and the ways to resolve them.

Minister of National Defense of Greece presented the approaches of his country to the developments in the Middle East and Balkans.
