Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with Ambassadors concurrently accredited in Armenia

On April 9, acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Ambassadors of around two dozen countries concurrently accredited to Armenia, who arrived in Yerevan to take part in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Welcoming the ambassadors, Edward Nalbandian thanked for the participation in this important for Armenia event.

At the meeting Edward Nalbandian presented the constitutional amendments and the new governance system of Armenia, as well as ongoing reforms in the country.

The results of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenia-European Union relations were discussed.

Foreign Minister touched upon the priorities and directions of Armenia's foreign policy, presented the joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair countries towards exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

During the meeting with ambassadors, developments in the Middle East, ways of settling the current issues, as well as the situation around refugees and the efforts to solve their problems were touched upon.

The preparations for the Yerevan Summit of La Francophonie in October and the events to be held within the framework of the summit were also on the agenda.
