Foreign Minister received parliamentary delegation of Finland

On April 23, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the delegation of the Friendship Group between the Parliament of Finland and the National Assembly of Armenia headed by Juho Eerola.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian attached an importance to parliamentary diplomacy as an important format contributing to the development of inter-state collaboration, highly appreciated the friendly relations established between Armenia and Finland.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Juho Eerola noted that the friendship group will continue to make efforts towards further development of bilateral cooperation in different spheres.

The agenda of the meeting included issues related to strengthening cooperation between the delegations of legislative bodies of Armenia and Finland, expansion of legal framework and promotion of economic cooperation.

In the context of signing of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union, the sides exchanged views on Armenia-EU relations.

At the request of the interlocutors, Minister Nalbandian presented the internal political developments in Armenia.

Speaking about the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, Edward Nalbandian drew the interlocutors' attention to the actions of Baku, in particular, on the Line of Contact between Azerbaijan and Artsakh, the accumulation of troops, artillery and military equipment by the Azerbaijani side.
