Phone conversation of Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan with US Assistant Secretary of State Wess Mitchell

On May 16, at the initiative of the US side, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a telephone conversation with Wess Mitchell, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

Wess Mitchell congratulated Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on his appointment as Foreign Minister. He underscored that the United States looks forward to working with the new Armenian government on the many areas of mutual interest for our countries.

Thanking for congratulation, Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan underlined that Armenia highly values ​​the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and is ready to continue working towards its further development.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Wess Mitchell discussed the bilateral agenda issues.

The sides touched upon the activities of the Armenian-American Intergovernmental Commission and the Armenian-American Trade and Investment Council.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of urgent regional and international issues. Touching upon the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, Minister Mnatsakanyan highlighted the valuable commitment of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries, including the United States, aimed at supporting the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
